About

Dr. Olsen, although born and raised in Siberia, Russia, has spent many years in Virginia where she plans to stay and grow her family! She went to William and Mary for undergrad and continued her education at Virginia Commonwealth University for medical school and residency. When Dr. Olsen is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading and cooking.

Dr. Olsen has a passion for international health. Prior to medical school, she traveled to Ghana for a medical mission trip and during medical school, she traveled home to Russia twice for rotations. In the near future, she hopes to have increased opportunity to continue her passion for traveling.

Volunteer work is another area Dr. Olsen very much enjoys. While in medical school, she volunteered with the RAM clinic in Wise County. Dr. Olsen wants to increase her volunteer time in other smaller health clinics within the state of Virginia. She finds joy in giving back to the communities in which she works and lives.

Dr. Olsen loves the field of OBGYN for many reasons; however, the main reason is building life-long relationships with her patients.
