Marlena Halstead, MD, is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist with Virginia Complete Care for Women at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.
Dr. Halstead received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland, and earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia. She then completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland, during which time she received several awards prior to graduation.
Dr. Halstead is board-eligible by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and is an active member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. In addition to providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, she treats the full range of women's healthcare for all ages and life stages.
When not caring for her patients, Dr. Halstead spends a significant amount of time volunteering in the communities in which she serves. She is excited to be part of the Virginia Complete Care for Women team and currently welcomes new patients and referrals.
