Varun Maheshwari, MD, is an interventional cardiologist with Henrico Cardiology in Richmond, Virginia.

Dr. Maheshwari graduated with honors from The College of New Jersey with a bachelor of science in biology, and earned his medical doctorate at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. He then completed his internal medicine residency at University of Maryland Medical Center, in Baltimore. Following medical school, Dr. Maheshwari was awarded a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at University of Maryland Heart and Vascular Center, followed by a fellowship in interventional cardiology at University at Buffalo Gates Vascular Institute. Dr. Maheshwari is fluent in English and Hindi.

Dr. Maheshwari is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has a wide range of experience in echocardiology, nuclear cardiology, and interventional cardiology, with a focus on managing critically ill and complex cardiac patients.

Additionally, Dr. Maheshwari's cardiovascular research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national medical symposiums.

When not seeing patients, Dr. Maheshwari enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and experiencing a variety of cuisines. He looks forward to accepting new patients and referrals.
