While practicing with Hanover Family Physicians, Dr. Blackburn also taught in Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical College of Virginia Family Practice Residency Program from 1989-2005. He continues to hold the rank of Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at VCU/MCV. In addition to his practice with Hanover Family Physicians, Dr. Blackburn serves as the team physician for Hanover High School football, volunteers at The Cheryl Watson Memorial Free Clinic and travels to Haiti to provide medical care. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Virginia Academy of Family Physicians, Richmond Academy of Medicine.
